Joe Longthorne is to be honoured by the Variety Club in a celebrity gala event in recognition of his contribution to the world of entertainment.
The Variety Club is recognised internationally for its high profile gala dinners and events, which are organised to raise funds for those children less fortunate than others.
Over the years a number of gala dinners/events have been organised by the charity to celebrate the outstanding achievements of some individuals and groups of people from the world of show business. These events are very high profile attended by many stars from the world of entertainment, dignitaries, the media and major corporate organisations.
The format of this gala dinner is based along the lines of a high calibre show business award event, where guests have the opportunity to enjoy a sumptuous meal in a relaxing, sophisticated environment, whilst in the presence of many celebrities.
Past recipients include; Dame Shirley Bassey, Sir Michael Caine, Sir Henry Cooper, Roger Moore, Sir Cliff Richard, Daniel O Donnell and many many others.
The tribute will take place at the Palace Hotel, Oxford Street, Manchester on Saturday, 2nd June, 2007 at approximately 7:00p.m. with a three course meal and entertainment.
Tickets are priced at £75/head (including 3 course meal). Proceeds will go to supporting the Variety Club Children's Charity.
